London Week

The LDA is hosting London Week from 26 to 30 July 2010. London Week is a series of events to highlight different aspects of London as:

• the Host of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games

• the Capital of Global Business

• the Ideal Place for International Students to Study

• the Leading Centre for Research, Science and Technology, and the Creative Industries

• one of the World's Top Visitor Destinations

• a Visionary Sustainable City.

Towards sustainable cities

The LDA is pleased to be working with the Institute For Sustainability, who will be joining us to run a series of events during London Week.

Academics and investors will come together to discuss research and explore best practice for sustainability and green enterprise.

The aim is to identify how businesses in London can benefit financially from the commercial opportunities created by tackling climate change.

UK Pavilion events

The UK Pavilion is also hosting a series of events at the Expo. A different theme will be covered each month:

• May: Diversity/Choices/Richness

• June: Science and Innovation

• July: Health and Wellbeing/Sport

• August: Resources: Natural, Economic

• September: Connectedness/Financial Services

• October: Opportunities/Travel/Education.
