Redbridge
Redbridge is one of the 32 London boroughs that comprise the Greater London area

It is situated to the east of the City of London and the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games site at Stratford in neighbouring borough Newham.
Redbridge Council provides a range of services to a growing and ethnically diverse population of approximately 260,000 residents and some 6,000 businesses.
Redbridge was also the first local authority to elect a Chinese Mayor, Thomas Chan. Mayor Chan held office from 2009 to May 2010.
Reasons for being an Expo sponsor

Redbridge is strategically situated between the centre of one of the world's great financial centres and the coastal deep-sea ports of Felixstowe and Tilbury in the Thames Gateway growth corridor.
The council is well placed to exploit the huge economic potential of world trade and financial services.
At the same time, Redbridge will be a fulcrum for some of the cutting-edge new technology being deployed to provide the essential supporting infrastructure that London, in common with Shanghai, needs to sustain economic and population growth.
These include the roll out of Crossrail, Europe's second tunnelling and underground construction skills academy and piloting the innovative National Health Service (NHS) network of new polyclinics.
